The letter is to a Mrs. Greenhalge about settling her father's estate, including finding a buyer for the patents to her father's inventions. Nathan Abbott (1854-1941) received his law degree from Boston University in 1881. He later taught at Michigan (1891-92) and Northwestern (1892-94).
