UK,12mo HB,1st edn.1st edn.VG.No owner inscrptn,no dw/dj - as issued - book appears to be amateurishly half bound,i.e. spine and corner tips bound in red cloth, remainder of the boards in black cloth and no gilt or ink blocked lettering to either the spine or the front board.Clean,cloth boards with negligible shelf-wear to edges,some bumping to two lower corner tips with reciprocal creases,wrinkles to spine/ backstrip's gutters and book has a slight lean – but no nicks,tears or splits present,sporadic foxing/spotting of plain white endpapers.Top+fore-edges inevitably aged and therefore toned but without foxing/spotting; contents bright,tight, clean,solid and sound – no dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corners – appears unread, apart from my own collation.UK, 12mo HB,1st edn,vi-viipp+2-227pp [paginated] includes a foreword by Hamilton Fyfe [b. 29th,September 1869 – 15th June, 1951.) was a British journalist and writer who was editor of both the newspapers the Daily Mirror and the Daily Herald],an A-Z of Labour Party members, each with a potted biography and thumbnail b/w portrait photograph; plus [unpaginated] blank,half-title+title pages,and as last pages - 2pp publisher's advert for other titles available. Visually the exterior appearance is acceptable for a book of it's age and nature,and even internally,the book is also in an acceptable condition/state of preservation and presentation.It is only the faults described that prevent a higher grading.
