Text is very good HOWEVER front board is completely separated. Brown leather over wood boards. Gold lettering on front and spine. Much of spine leather is gone and whatever is left is brittle . Leather overspill on front board is also very brittle and some small pieces are missing. Outside corners have a bit of open wear. AEG. Frontispiece is Lorna Doone by Howard Pyle. Many photogravures, etchings, wood engravings and typogravures by various artists. Lots of info from Aaron to Faliero. Glossy pages make book very heavy. ; Vol. 1; 8vo; 408 pages, G+/NONE. Dark brown leather boards with gold lettering on front and spine. Leather on spine has become worn and brittle pulling away from book. Spine leather is split from top to bottom on front side and worn I places. Some corner edge wear. Front board is quite loose and almost separated. However text is very good. AEG Frontispiece is Theron Ware and Ceclia by Keller. Other photogravures, etching s, wood engravings and typogravures throughout by various artists. Lots of info from Skeggs to Zulzul. Also a large appendix. Glossy pages make this book very heavy. ; 12x91/2; 384 pages, G+/NONE
