This fond collection of Phillpotts' descriptions of the Dartmoor area is in general good condition. The red cloth cover is stamped with gold. Both the body of the front and the back cover are pleasingly bright. The stamping on the front cover is clear. The back cover has some spotting stains. There is wear to the corners and there are shelf depressions. The spine is faded but the print is legible. The frontispage has a gift inscription (not from the author) dated 9 July 1926 Cape Town. The front and title pages have areas of age discolouration. There is a storage depression on the top front cover edge. The contents have general wear.
