Major cities are shown along with natural geographic features such as rivers and seas. No date, circa 1820s-1830s. Map with margins measures 9" x 8"; actual map area measures 7 3/4" x 6 3/4." Map is very clean and intact except for slight foxing. Title printed in upper-left corner. Lines of latitude and longitude also included. The following is printed beneath the map: "Boston, Published by Samuel Walker. Engraved by W. Chapin, N.Y." William Chapin (1802-1888) was an engraver who was very prominent in his day and was based in New York and Philadelphia. He was active between 1817 and 1839.. Map.
