Original manuscript handwritten in black ink on beige paper. No date, circa 1927. 8 1/2" x 11." Seven pages including title page. One small pencil drawing on title page showing the Skilton/Skelton coat of arms. Pages are very clean and intact except for age toning, a few spots of foxing, slight wrinkling, and moderate staining on the last leaf. A Very Good copy. An original manuscript handwritten by Ida M. Clark (1852-?) about the Skilton or Skelton genealogy. She notes on the first page that while "Skilton" is a common rendering of the surname, "Skelton" is technically the correct spelling. The Skiltons/Skeltons resided in Burlington, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Clark traces her branch of the Skilton/Skelton family from Reverend Samuel Skelton (arrived to Salem, Massachusetts in 1629) to the birth of her grandson, Peter Andrews Bent (1927-?), possibly in Framingham, MA.
