Landscape 4to. Unpaginated [36 pages of printed text]. Cloth-backed pictorial paper-covered boards. With a title page decoration, eleven splendid chromolithographic pl1ates (including one double-spread presentation) and various black and white drawings. The boards a little rubbed and marked, with a bump to the head of the rear board, impacting the upper margin of the final six leaves. The original binding strings carefully replaced and each leaf secured with tape and exhibiting the occasional edge-tear. The free endpapers browned and with a little toning to the leaf margins. Former owner inscription (dated 1900) inked to the front free endpaper. A good copy of Bingham's rhyming children's tale, accompanied with George Henri Thompson's most delightful illustrations..
