Binding: Part of backstrip (or back cloth cover) missing from top of spine, about 1¼-inch, which affects part of book title lettering. Light fraying/short tears to foot of spine. Minor shelf wear. Light age toning/soiling/rubbed areas; corners turned in slightly/light bumps; slight cock (slant) to book. Old, handwritten name of former owner on first free endpaper; birthday inscription to the same person and date (June 24, 1920) on half-title page. Old brown stains of paper clip(s) that were once attached to preliminaries (front matter) and first four pages. Scattered old humidity marks/foxing/offsets and several short tears to preliminaries. Light crack to gutter between back of half title page and frontispiece leaf. Other than noted, there's a crease and light age toning to pages. Clear and readable. No notations or writing in text, no stickers or bookplates. Not a former library book. Overall book is in Good condition. This book reprinted one year after first edition. A wonderful, insightful biography of William F. Cody (Buffalo Bill), who was an adventurer, frontier scout, soldier, Indian fighter, and theatrical performer ("Wild West Show") during the turn of the 19/20th centuries.
