Original promotional broadside printed in black ink on purple paper for the Detroit Commercial Advertiser. 14" x 21." Broadside is complete and clean overall but is very fragile and has age toning. The broadside has splitting along the entire width and length of the paper at center. There are also several small chips along the edges and at the center where two creases meet. The largest chip measures about 1/2" x 1" on the left edge. Some of the lettering is slightly affected by the chip at center and splitting but appears mostly, if not entirely, readable and intact. A Good copy. A broadside promoting the Detroit Commercial Advertiser, a weekly paper. Below the title at top are the terms of entering the sweepstakes. The broadside tries to encourage readers to subscribe to the paper by stating that for a $1.50 subscription, readers may enter the Twenty-sixth Annual Premiums in which $25,000 will be given away to 100,000 subscribers. The broadside consists chiefly of the names of subscribers who have won premiums.. Ephemera. Book Condition: Collectible-Good.
