Pages all intact, and clean for the most part, although a few small spots were seen. Partial paper split at spine inside front, age tanning of pages. 395 pages plus several page of advertising. A historical novel set in the 17th century. Originally published in the late 1800's. Micah Clarke recounts certain passages in his early life, to his 3 grandchildren during the hard winter of 1734. He tells them of his journey from Havant to Taunton with Decimus Saxon, and adventures that befell them during the western rebellion, and of their meeting with James, Duke of Monmouth, Lord Grey and others.
