The conversation follows the comedy of manners style, which Congreve, Swift, and Gay were known for. William Congreve: A Conversation Between Swift and Gay was written by Bonamy Dobree (1891-1974), a British professor who taught English Literature at the University of Leeds from 1936-1955.. Book.
