Endpapers spotted, and with a touch more spotting to half a dozen preliminary and concluding leaves. A very good copy in price-clipped Eve Garnett-designed dust wrapper, which is a little rubbed, soiled and faded, with some taped reinforcement to the spine panel ends. The author's quite uncommon first novel, a fictionalized account of her Montgomeryshire childhood which was awarded a gold medal from the Book Guild as Novel of the Year.. Book.
