Pages browned. Some contemp. ownership signatures. Dedication to resolves torn but well repaired without affecting text. Some outer margins repaired. A generally clean and sound copy. Felltham's poems are few in number but varied in style; some have considerable merit, and none are contemptible. His prose was very popular during his time but neglected until Cummings edition of 1806. His writing has been compared to Bacon's. 'The Brief Character' is witty and unaffected, and still readable.
