The boards are quite shelf rubbed and edge worn. There is surface damage to the cloth, which is also torn and frayed along the edges of the spine. The spine is discoloured, and the gilt to the boards has dulled. Despite this, the boards remain strong and square. Internally, there is a previous owner's signature on the front pastedown. There are no other inscriptions, but the pages are consistently foxed throughout. This does not affect the legibility of the text. The binding remains tight and the book whole and complete. JK.
