On offer is an original, super manuscript relic of opera and ballet in Chicago being the 'Plot Book' of the 1919 - 1920 season of the Chicago Grand Opera Association, Auditorium Theatre handwritten by Grant L. Johnson of the Electrical Department. La Nave, Fedora, Madame Butterfly, Masked Ball, Lucia, La Boheme, Aida +++. Some pages have a play or opera titled but no notes. There are also a couple of pages dated 1921 regarding the Riviera Theater, perhaps the company was on Tour. There are two pictures enclosed: one cut from a magazine showing a family and then a separate photo of two young women, one of whom is in the magazine picture. One gets the impression this is Mr. Johnson's family or the family of his girlfriend. Sixty five plus pages of which one third have writings makes this a unique relic of the stage arts and Chicago arts Americana. Overall G.. Book Condition: Good.
