A portfolio of documents relating to Wilfred Owen, Isaac Rosenberg, Edmund Blunden and Siegfried Sassoon, with some additional material on Edward Thomas, principally culled from the pages of 'The Times', 'The Sunday Times' and 'The Times Literary Supplement' and intended as a study guide for students, "it's contents carefully selected and arranged, but organised in a loose format with no imposed sequence". The entire portfolio comprises a selection of reviews supplemented by two pages from 'The Times' of July 3 1916, a sequence of photographs of trench warfare chosen to support some of the images of the poems, a recruiting poster for ironic comparison, a specially written note by Charles Douglas-Home on trench warfare, and a booklet of poems by the five authors reproduced in holograph manuscript (eleven poems in total, one by Sassoon, one by Rosenberg, two by Edward Thomas, two by Edmund Blunden, and five by Wilfred Owen).
