164 pages (complete). A VERY RARE copy of Griffith's account of Joseph Chamberlain's disastrous visit to South Africa after the Anglo-Boer War. He managed to get up everyone's noses and the visit set back the road to Unification and agreement somewhat. The spine of the book has been repaired with a leather strip. The back of the book has a thick card board. The front cover is of the South African edition and publisher. However, inside, the book is of the original publisher (Routledge). The front cover has a portrait of Chamberlain. It is much worn, scuffed, torn and marked. It is securely attached. Within, the early and later pages have age related marks and foxing.
