Issue also includes The Wounds Of Paris, by Martha Gellhorn (married to Hemingway at the time) who contributed from Paris where she was on assignment for Collier's as a war correspondent. In this piece, Gellhorn talks of the underground passages at Ivry, once used by the French as fortifications, now used as a prison by the Nazis, and of the torture cells around the city, including graphic descriptions of several methods of torture.
