124 pages (complete). In Afrikaans throughout. The Hobson brothers were the first to win the prestigious Afrikaans language book prize, the Hertzog Prize, as non-Afrikaans-native-speakers. Their books were hugely popular. G. C. had the ideas and did the research, whilst his brother S. B. wrote the stories. THis copy's dustjacket is genial if somewhat worn and torn. It is scuffed and marked by handling. The attraction of the cover beneath is diluted a little by storage stains and marks. Inside, the frontispage has a previous owner signature affixed. The contents are foxed throughout, also there are stains about the page seams where the thread has absorbed moisture during storage.
