Manuscript journal, 390 pages, containing Bible verses and inspirational songs for each day of the year, in Swedish. Some of the songs have musical directions. Leather spine and marbled boards. Binding is quite worn, interior is shaken. No imprint, possibly Canada, late 1800s. Accompanied by a smaller volume, "Lilla Svenska Barntioningen", with bound issues from 1881-82 of a little Swedish Children's newspaper, which includes a contribution from Hofstrand. Worn, loose and chipped. C.O. Hofstrand (1854-1924) lived in central Canada around the turn of the 19th century. He published a number of booklets of poetry and religious history.. Book.
