A Good copy. This is a partial phone directory for Hotel Marysville in Marysville, California. This directory likely corresponded to the Hotel Marysville that was open from 1926-1986; it still stands to this day, albeit unoccupied, at 418-430 Fifth Street. There are currently plans to convert the hotel into modern housing. There was an earlier Hotel Marysville that once stood at the corner of First and C Streets and was owned by George Engler, the son-in-law of John Sutter. Ten pages remain in the directory with additional business information printed on the front and back pastedowns. The pages advertise various businesses in Marysville. Tabs on the fore-edge organize businesses by type or subject. The following are some of the businesses with respective street addresses: "Leo J. Smith, Jeweler, 310 D Street," "Dr. Fred B. Tapley, House Physician and Surgeon, Fifth Floor, Hart Building," "Dr. O. I. Losey, House Dentist, 421 Fifth Street," "Baker's Flower Shop, 408 Third Street," "Jack Young [tire shop], 'Across the Street and in the Same Black as the Hotel,'" "Branston's [golfing attire store], 326 D Street," "Yellow Cab Co., 'Special Service to Guests of This Hotel,'" "McKenny-Maseman" [gift shop], 'Ground Floor, Hotel Marysville,'" "Bryant Brothers, Grocers, 319 C Street," "Marysville-Yuba Dairy, Corner Eighth and E Streets," "Ben Tibbets, Poultry, 214 Seventh Street," "California Market, 425 Third Street," "Jones & [U?]llrey, Funeral Directors, 406 Plumas Street," "Decker-Jewett Bank" [no address given], and "S.
