Original publisher's brown wrapper backed with black cloth. Red and blue decorative stripes on front cover. Bound by the Angwin Book Bindery. 6 5/8" x 9 5/8." Pages 265-312, complete. Black and white illustrations and reprinted black and white photographs, complete. Pages and covers are very clean and intact. Binding is tight. In the upper-left corner of the front cover are numbers handwritten in pen. Green stamp is on the front cover and faintly on the first page that says, "John F. Kennedy Senior High School Library, Sacramento City Unified School District, Sacramento, California." The bottom margin of Page 299 has a purple "Oxnard School District" stamp. A few small, light stains in upper-right corner of front cover. A fine copy. Henry Howard tells the story of his own trip aboard the ALICE which sailed around the Caribbean. Howard visited many islands and locales in the Caribbean, such as the Virgin Islands, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Haiti, Antigua, Barbuda, Martinique, and the Bahamas. The Lesser Antilles appear to be a highlight of the trip in part because he wanted to visit islands that were less-traveled by Americans. Howard describes his personal experiences on the islands as well as local culture, history, and lore.. Book. Book Condition: Fine. Binding: Soft cover
