First Edition (first printing). 8vo. vii, 81pp. Cloth-backed paper-covered boards lettered in black at the spine. The backstrip cloth faded, and the boards a little toned and soiled. Free endpapers lightly toned and spotted, and with a touch of further mostly marginal spotting to occasional leaves. A nice bright copy. Brooke contributes his poems 'Spindleberries' and 'Villanelle of the Flower of the Shore', which he penned at the age of seventeen and eighteen respectively. Other contributors include the artist Gavin Bone (seven poems), English revivalist Rolf Gardiner (three poems), and Laurence Collier, later Sir Laurence Collier, British Ambassador to Norway 1939-1950 (three poems including 'The Rubaiyat of Bedales').
