First Edition (first printing). Slim 8vo. 45pp. Black cloth, lavishly lettered and decorated in gold at the upper board. All edges gilt. Binding slightly cocked and covers just a little marked and handled in places. Quite a good, bright copy. The front panel and flap of the attractive McKnight Kauffer-designed dust wrapper has been tipped-in to the front endpapers. Betjeman's fifth book, and second collection of verse, comprising thirty-three poems, eighteen of which appear here in bookform for the first time.
