In his career he handled such cases as the Phoenix Bank Defalcation; the counterfeiting of Bank of Albany Bills; the thief stealing eggs and other foodstuffs from Delmonico's restaurant; security at Boss Tweed's daughter's wedding. and much more. This man got around in the New York crime circles in the second half of the 19th century. And he was happy to tell the reader all about it! Apparently printed for family members and friends, this copy is signed by the author on a Presentation leaf.
