First edition - printed and published by Brooke Crutchley in an edition of 500 copies for friends of the printer. 8vo. 24pp + xlvi inscriptions to rectos, with captions to adjacent versos. Cloth-backed boards. A small area of surface abrasion to the head and base of the rear board, else a virtually fine copy in slipcase. A sixteen-page introduction precedes forty-six typographically produced inscriptions in Latin, Italian, French and English, with a twelve-page pamphlet containing translations in a pouch to the inner rear board. Crutchley was presumably somewhat shamefaced by the typographical title page error which sees the one of the two 'i's printed in reverse [cue Stanley Morrison's withering look].. Book.
