Brurit (Claire) Unna was born 1907 in Germany, and immigrated to Palestine in 1934 where she studied with Jakob Steinhardt and Zvi Meirowitz, and worked as a painting instructor for many years; she died in 1984. Published by the famous Omanut Press, founded in Moscow in 1917, moved to Odessa in 1919, Frankfurt in 1920, and Palestine in 1925; for “many years Omanut Press was the main publisher of Hebrew educational material and books for youth. ” - 2008 EJ.
