A very good copy in chafed, nicked and spotted non-price-clipped dust wrapper, with a little loss from the spine panel ends, a fraction more from the top edge, and some chafing to the front panel-spine panel fold. A biography of Warren Hastings, who served as the first Governor-General of Bengal in 17721785 and is credited, along with Robert Clive, for laying the foundations of the British Empire in India..
