[The letters have been separated from the envelopes but there are over 50 pages of writings all told.] Ken was a prominent AP correspondent who traveled Africa's coast covering revolutions and civil wars during the times when these countries are gaining independence from Europe and this archive is significant to the African Civil Wars between War Lords among such countries as Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, the Congo and Nigeria. This rare first hand account by a trained observer during this very unstable time in Africa will prove a trove of information to historians and researchers of the period and place and the every day hardships in Africa at that time in the 60s. There are some more personal letters and some of the letters are hand written but most are typed. Some of the letters are on original stock from the Associated Press in London England.
