German Text. original binding. raised bands to the spine without a label. old gilt panelled calf over wooden boards. brass center and corner pieces. clasps are present but no closing mechanism. the second front end page has a previous owner's extensive notes in German dated from 1722 to 1735. the book has inscect damage on the boards and many of the pages. this mostly consists of tiny holes. the book is complete with 6 double page maps. one of the continents of the world and the rest cover the holy land, parts of Europe, and a bird's eye view of Jerusalem. the book is divided into 4 parts. the first section is not paginated with 82 pages. there are also sections covering the old testament, new testament and the apocrypha. 476 pages; (2 pages); 462 pages and 352 pages. this is a huge tome that will attract extra postage. the book has age related marks and small tears but is very good for its age. the binding is holding well. the front hinge has been repaired.
