Circa 1923. Original photograph. 5 X 7 inches. McAvoy (1899-1984) was an American actress, working in both silent films as well as "talkies". She was in more than three dozen movies. She co-stared in Ben Hur in 1925, The Terror (1928) and with Al Jolson in The Jazz Singer (1927). This photograph shows a close up of McAvoy standing somewhat sideways, wearing a dress.
