The book is not signed by Muller but by the owner, the legendary creator of the 'Liewe Heksie' stories, Verna Vels. Vels was a prolific book collector and supporter of Afrikaans as a language, particularly in the writing of it in stories. Her renown as a broadcaster, story teller and writer was wide and profound. Vels has signed the frontispage (dated: Pretoria 1967). This book is graded poor as pages 127 - 150 (despite Vels' best efforts) are loose as a bunch. These inclusive pages should be turned with care. Besides this, the book is in good condition. The dustjacket is whole and secure. It is rubbed, scuffed and the edges have wear.
