Publisher's brown cloth binding, blocked in blind, with gilt-stamped title and decoration to spine and vignette illustration to upper board. Contemporary ink ownership, dated February 1850, of John Simmons of Deepfield, Staffordshire, England, who managed the Ulster Iron Works at Saugerties, NY, where he developed double-puddling, hoop-making, and cold-rolling processes.. A small nick at crown, and slight wear at tips of corners, otherwise this is a crisp copy in fine condition. Scarce thus., Fine
