The Pacific Rural Press was a major agricultural journal that was published between the mid-nineteenth century and early twentieth century. Many of the articles give information and advice on the different parts of the agricultural industry. Fuller], "Florist and Gardener: California Privet as a Hedge Plant; The Farmer's Garden; Transplanting Maiden-Hair Ferns," "The Poultry Yard: Rational Feeding of Poultry," "The Apiary: Different Honey Bees Contrasted; Value of Bees to Apricot Growers; The Eastern Honey Crop; Father Langstroth's Twelve Axioms [about beekeeping]," and "Domestic Economy: Hints to Housekeepers; Kitchen Lore [recipes].".
