Wrappers very slightly rubbed, with crease to top fore-corner of lower cover. Very good condition. 'Park appears from his own writing as slightly quaint and wistfully ambitious. Although not brilliant he was undoubtedly a brave, able and persevering officer who from all accounts commanded an efficient and respected battalion. He was perhaps well described by Lord Kitchener, who in his final dispatch from South Africa, wrote with a touch of British understatement, "Brevet Colonel C. W. Park A.D.C.
