Original publisher's beige paper wrappers. 5 3/4" x 9 1/2." Thirty-two pages, complete. Former owner's stamps in black ink in upper-right margins on front and title page: "S. A. Wright, Jr." Pages are clean and intact except for a few closed tears (largest measures 1 1/2" on Pages 11-12) not affecting text, light age toning, slight wrinkling, slight wear to extremities, and the former owner's stamp. Covers are clean and intact overall except for slightly bumped corners, slight darkening, some splitting at head and tail of spine, a few small stains and wrinkles, and the former owner's stamp. A Very Good copy. A sermon by Theodore Parker (1810-1860), an American Transcendentalist, Unitarian minister, and abolitionist. Parker addresses many subjects in this sermon. He talks about several vices plaguing society at the time. In the latter part of the sermon, Parker emphasizes the need for people to follow Christian laws.. Book. Book Condition: Very Good.
