Covers are clean and intact overall but have glue repair along spine, light to moderate chipping to corners and edges, slight darkening throughout, former owner's stamp ("S. A. Wright, Jr.") on front, and a card on which is a former owner's gift inscription tipped in on inside of front cover. Pages are clean and intact overall, but there is residue on title page from the tape holding the gift inscription, another "S. A. Wright, Jr." stamp on title page, light age toning throughout, slight smudging on title page, and the occasional smudge and pencil annotation on the rest of the pages. A Good copy. Theodore Parker (1810-1860) was a Transcendentalist and Unitarian minister. This sermon was given by Parker on the occasion of his installment at the 28th Congregation Church in Boston on January 4, 1846. In the sermon, Parker addresses many subjects, among which are what makes a good Christian church, a call to action aimed toward Christians to live out Christian principles, and cautioning against worldly vices..
