Payne's Royal Dresden Gallery being a Selection of subjects engraved after pictures by the Great Masters, Berchem, Bol, Canaletto, Caravaggio, Carlo Dolce, Claude Lorrain, Correggio, Guercini, Guido Reni, Metzu, Mieris, Netscher, Ostade, Raphael, Rembrandt, Rubens, Teniers, Vandyke, Wouvermann etc. etc. with accompanying notices consisting of Tales, Biographies etc. Published for the proprietors by A. H. Payne Dresden and Leipzig, W French. London 67 Paternoster Row. Vols One & two have Green Leather to spine with raised bands, gilt titling & decoration, worn to edges. Green leather to fore corners, well worn & bumped to corners. Nonpareil marbled paper to thick board covers, scuffed to surface, the same marbled paper is inside covers, but in better condition. Both volumes have gilt to all page edges, and inscription to ffep dated 1856. PAGES are tightly bound with some tanning to page edges, slight spotting to some pages in both volumes.
