Pratt (1821-1909) was a native of Connecticut, leaving in 1849, he sailed to San Francisco and then to Sacramento via a lumber sloop, eventually opening a store in Stockton. He returned to Connecticut in 1851. This copy also has 9 black and white plates. All plates are present and intact. Head, tail and corners are slightly bumped.
