His first efforts were published in Ha-Kol in 1879, and he wrote in both Hebrew and Yiddish. As a publisher, he was Bialik's first patron, publishing the poem "El ha-Zippor" in Pardes. In 1901, Rawnitzki, with Bialik and S. Ben-Zion, founded Moriah, the first publishing house in Odessa. They primarily published textbooks and other scholarly material.
