One full-page, black-and-white, illustrated advertisement for Sherman Clay on back panel, complete. Another ad promotes a solo performance by the noted African-American contralto, Marian Anderson. Printed on front: "The Saturday Club Celebrity Series is presented by the Sacramento Saturday Club, Inc." Brochure is very clean and intact except for center horizontal and vertical fold lines and slight wrinkling and age toning. A Very Good copy. Program for a performance by the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra as led by Pierre Monteux (1875-1964), a French-American conductor, and with Jakob Gimpel (1906-1989) as the guest pianist. The songs are accompanied by brief summaries and include Weber's "Overture to Euryanthe," Chopin's "Concerto No. 2 in F Minor," Stravinsky's "Suite from 'The Firebird,'" and Wagner's "Siegfried's Rhine Journey fr.
