Into page Red sheet on white background ( Specimens of Facsimilies of National Manuscripts of Great Britain and Ireland. then twenty pages of of Fac-similies for example Royal Autographs, Magna Carta Testement Athelston, Great Charter of Kelso, Prince Henry to Henry 1V, Princess Mary to Lord Protector plus lots more. What makes this book very interesting is at the top of the first page is the following in very neat Handwriting which appears to be in ink (not authenticated) --- Presented to Corp E. Spargo Ordnance Survey -1887 ( Book itself is not dated but have used the inscription date as a close proximity) for His Contribution to the presentation from O.S. to Queen Victoria. (Photo of this on request) Condition Binding coming away at the spine but still intact . First Page with presentation note and start of intro has inkstain very top edge and the page itself is age darkened and has a very old repaired tear at the bottom margin, small margin ink stain top margin continues to each page at the very top edge.
