Very good in the original cloth spined printed wrappers, somewhat chipped, the external leaves dogeared, but in general a clean tight example of this fundamental and important document. Over 950pp folio, this far ranging commission completely examined labour practices in the mining indistry, and ultimately established the platform on which the Nationalist government some half a century later predicated its migratory labour policies which were the cornerstone of Apartheid. The Commission also recommended the disastrous importation of Chinese labour. Of the utmost raririty (and not to be confused with the British reprint of the following year), this is the first copy we have seen in the past 20 years.
