Backstrip ends and corner tips very gently bruised. Former owner bookplate to the front pastedown. A very good copy. No dust wrapper. Twenty-six poems, the author's first collection of verse, including a number of Great War poems. Walter James Turner was born in Melbourne in 1884 and moved to England when he was twenty-three to pursue a career as a writer. He befriended Siegfried Sassoon, Virginia Woolf, Vita Sackville-West and Lady Ottoline Morrell (a caricature of her in his book 'The Aesthetes' ended that friendship).
