Recto of rear free endpaper's bottom edge has a taped library barcode,and finally another slim rectangular, faded,black ink 'Plymouth Public Libraries' stamp to book's bottom edges.White tippexed 6-figure numerical library notation to foot of slightly darkened spine/ backstrip.No other ex-library notation apart from those already described.Top edges darkened/aged and slightly dust-soiled,fore-edges similarly aged/tanned,but to a much lesser degree and therefore brighter and cleaner; contents bright,tight, clean and virtually pristine,no foxing/spotting,no dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corners. Publisher's original,blue cloth bds with black ink stamped square, pictorial vignette and black lettering to upper bd,black lettering to spine/backstrip.Bds slightly grubbed and some marking. It is written with the purpose of describing smugglers and smuggling as a whole,and to describe the most interesting and picturesque smugglers,as well as the basest and most despicable,as they really are and were,to picture their lives, adventures,dangers and methods,and to show how they are circumvented by the law.
