Clara Elsene Peck,b. April 18,1883 – d. February 1968,was an American illustrator and painter,known for her illustrations of women and children in the early part of the 20thC.This was part of a period when technological innovations in halftone and colour printing facilitated the "Golden Age of American Illustration" - 1880s-1930s,of which she was part.She was also, contemporaneous with other noted female illustrators Jessie Willcox Smith,Rhoda C. Chase,Elizabeth Shippen Green,and Violet Oakley of the same period and similar style.
