The Lincoln Kinsman was a monthly publication about Abraham Lincoln and the Lincoln genealogy. Fifty-four issues were published in total. Louis Austin Warren (1885-1983) was a minister who spent his lifetime researching and writing about Abraham Lincoln and his family and was Director of the Lincoln National Life Foundation. Nancy Hanks Lincoln (1784-1818) was the mother of Abraham Lincoln. Excerpt from the issue: "This copy of The Lincoln Kinsman makes available names of those Hankses associated with the southern branch of the family. ... Thus far there has been no satisfactory genealogical chart made of the southern branch of the Hanks family to show the relation of these thousand or more Hankses to the mother of Abraham Lincoln who was Nancy Hanks, presumably a daughter of James and Lucy Shipley Hanks." While there is no genealogical chart, this issue lists the names of the southern Hanks family.
