A fine copy, mounted on thin white linen. The document has an ornate border around it with vignettes of George Washington flanked by two allegorical women, the monument complete with the Pantheon, and the Obelisk of the Monument. The Pantheon was never completed.. IT has the printed signatures of various society members including President Zachary Taylor. The certificate is made out to John William Turnbull for a contribution of $2, and is signed and dated by an appointed agent. A scarce item.
