Between the French Revolution and World War II. " Weinryb was an “economic and social historian. Born in Turobin, Poland, [he] studied in Breslau at the Jewish Theological Seminary and at the university, was librarian at the seminary in 1931–33, and worked on the editorial staff of the Encyclopaedia Judaica in Berlin and Zurich. In 1934 he emigrated to Palestine where he lectured at the School of Social Work and School of Economics to 1939. Moving to the United States he taught at the Herzliah Teachers' Seminary and at the Jewish Teachers' Seminary, New York. Weinryb was lecturer at Brooklyn College and worked as an economist for the State Department, and lectured at Columbia University, Yeshiva University, and as professor of Jewish history and economics at Dropsie College. ”(EJ) Bumped corners, ends of spine worn, endpapers darkened, good condition.
