Two vols. in one, bound together without half-titles, early marbled boards, calf spine, label, edges rubbed but very good and sound. With engraved frontis. portrait by Barber; engraved first title; Cooke's engraving after Barber of Wilford Church at p. 37, & the Clifton Grove eng. by Cooke as frontis. to Vol. II. 322; 300 pp. A great deal of material gathered here, poems, letters, verses in tribute, etc. Only Clifton Grove & Other Verses appeared in White's lifetime. This collection effectively preserved his memory & works. It was numerous times reprinted, but here is the first edition. One-inch spine piece missing, another tear below, edge wear, marbled boards and edges.
